In application to an approach of openness and communication with Iraqi, Arab and International Universities, and in order to consolidate the bonds of cooperation at Academic, Scientific & Research Fields between Public and Private Universities, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has received a Delegation representing University of Technology / Baghdad. During the Meeting, convened between the two parties, possible aspects of cooperation have been carefully reviewed. After that, a Joint Scientific & Academic Cooperation Agreement has been signed.
It is remarkable to note that the Agreement has aimed to promoting Joint Scientific & Academic Cooperation between both Universities, being part of enhancing Iraqi Universities Status in all Educational Aspects.
As a matter of fact, the Agreement has included Exchange of Experiences, Training and Consultations in areas of common interest, and such, Common Goals and Visions of the two Universities shall be effectively achieved. In addition, it has comprised development of Curricula at similar specializations, which could be a start for cooperation in the fields of Training & Development of Teaching Approaches that can be carried out by organizing Mutual Courses and Review of Modern Educational Programs. Both Universities have been committed to providing all necessary facilities required for establishing and implementing Studies and Research Projects, such as Workshops, Courses and Joint Scientific Conferences.
Furthermore, the Agreement has emphasized the necessity to cooperate in the Field of Scientific Research, and Joint Supervision of Postgraduate Studies, in addition to development of Laboratories and their equipment, as well as exchanging Student Visits and participating in Scientific Activities and Events organized by each Party.
During the Signing Ceremony, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has emphasized the importance of activating Memorandums of Understanding and Agreements by initiating the implementation of possible items as per priorities, as well as proceeding with permanent follow-up through continuous communication, and in a way that would achieve the desired benefit for both parties.
Finally, we should note that the Agreement has been signed by Assist Prof Dr. Ghassan Abdul Hussein Bilal, Head of Electromechanical Engineering Department, representing University of Technology, while it has been signed by Prof Dr. Azher M. Abid, Dean of College of Engineering, representing Al-Mustaqbal University.
