Part of the Openness & Communication Approach adopted by Al-Mustaqbal University with International Universities, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, the University President, has signed a Memorandum of Scientific & Cultural Understanding with the Turkish University of Istanbul OKAN.
In a statement to the University Media, Prof Dr. Majdi has pointed out that the signing of this Memorandum comes in harmony with the Ministry Policy, represented by His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, which aims to establish Scientific and Cultural Relations with all Universities, as that would lead to reinforcing joint cooperation and introducing the capabilities of Iraqi Universities, improving meanwhile their Reputation in International Forums.
It is worth noting that Istanbul OKAN University is one of the most Advanced Universities in Turkey, being founded in 1999, comprising Ten Multi-Disciplinary Colleges that cover Medical, Health, Engineering, Science, Administration, and Arts at the Three Degrees of Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. Moreover, the University includes a number of Professional and Research Centers.
It is remarkable to note that the Memorandum has been dealing with the possibility of reinforcing relations in the Fields of Exchanging Scientific Expertise, Conduct of Joint Research, Delivering Lectures, Support of Scientific Projects and Training Programs that aim to promoting the capabilities of Teaching, Technical and Administrative Cadres, all together with Summer Training of Students.
Besides, the Memorandum has emphasized strengthening of Cooperation in the Field of Authorship and Publishing Joint Scientific Research in Reputable Journals, in addition to attending Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Scientific and Cultural Competitions, as well as participating in Scientific Activities and Events organized by both Universities.
Finally, we are obliged to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has directed College Deanships and Scientific as well as Administrative Circles at the University to benefit from the Memorandums of Understanding concluded by the University by activating the items of common interest.
