Al-Mustaqbal University is preparing to hold a major central celebration in recognition of its outstanding academic achievements, after securing first place in Iraq in the Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings (ISR) 2026, in addition to ranking second nationally in Iraq and first among private universities in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026. This qualitative achievement further reinforces the University’s leading position at both the national and international levels. In this context, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, chaired an expanded meeting that included the Administrative Assistant, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, a number of college deans, directors of research centers, and relevant departments at the University Presidency. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khdhair Al-Abbadi, who emphasized the importance of employing smart technologies to support research pathways and enhance the University’s competitiveness in global rankings. At the beginning of the meeting, the University President extended his congratulations to the faculty members, staff, and students, praising the significant efforts that led to these distinguished achievements, which place Al-Mustaqbal University on the threshold of a new phase of excellence, competitiveness, and sustained academic creativity, in line with its strong local and international reputation. The President also reviewed the proposed program of the central celebration, stressing the importance of highlighting these achievements in a manner befitting the University’s status and leadership, and reflecting its commitment to excellence and innovation across its academic and research tracks.
