As part of the activities of the third edition of Sustainability Week, the College of Education booth at Al-Mustaqbal University was honored by a visit from the Deputy Minister for Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, accompanied by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Ahmed Rawdan, and a group of academic and administrative figures.<br />During the visit, the Deputy Minister toured the booth and was introduced to the various academic and student activities on display, all of which highlighted the College's active role in supporting and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through applied research, awareness initiatives, and academic innovations. Members of the organizing committee provided detailed explanations of the contributions made by faculty and students, including:<br />• Case studies on inclusive education and environmental awareness.<br />• Scientific research in educational innovation and community development.<br />• Student-led initiatives focusing on social responsibility and volunteerism.<br />Professor Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili praised the College's efforts, expressing his appreciation for its commitment to embedding sustainability concepts into the educational process. He affirmed that such initiatives reflect an advanced academic mindset and a true orientation toward preparing a generation that is aware and capable of facing future challenges.<br />This visit underscores the importance of aligning academic institutions with national and global development pathways, particularly:<br />• Goal 4 (Quality Education): By providing meaningful academic content that enhances learning outcomes and fosters positive interaction.<br />• Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): Through the support of research and projects that employ modern technologies and offer innovative solutions.<br />• Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions): By instilling concepts of active citizenship and good governance within the academic environment.<br />• Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): By strengthening collaboration between the Ministry, the university, and its colleges in support of sustainable development.<br />The visit concluded with the delegation expressing their admiration for the high level of organization, the depth of the booth’s content, and the evident dedication of the College of Education’s faculty and students.
