Under the patronage of the esteemed President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Husseini, the College of Law organized today, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, The First Legal Forum for Combating Human Trafficking under the slogan "Human Beings Are the Supreme Value." This event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).<br /><br />The forum commenced with the Iraqi national anthem, followed by a recitation of Al-Fatiha in memory of Iraq’s martyrs. The opening speech was delivered by the Dean of the College, after which the distinguished speakers were invited to the stage to begin the panel discussion.<br /><br />The panel featured:<br /><br />Mr. Waleed Khalil Al-Asadi, Head of the Human Trafficking Prevention Committee in the Babil Governorate Office.<br />Colonel Hussein Ali, Director of the Cybercrime Unit at the Babil Intelligence Directorate.<br />Mr. Ahmed Al-Attar, Human Rights Commission Director, Babil Branch.<br />Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Salman Hamza, Director of the Human Trafficking Prevention Unit.<br />Mr. Hussein Majeed, Director of Women’s Affairs, Babil Department, affiliated with the General Authority for Social Welfare.<br />The forum was attended by a distinguished group of university professors, college faculty members, representatives from various state institutions, and a number of students.
