As part of the scientific activities organized by the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University, Lecturer Assistant Ali Hassan Kassar conducted a scientific workshop entitled “Methods of Tax Calculation and Mechanisms of Their Application” on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., in the Department Hall, located on the fourth floor of the Humanities Building. The workshop addressed the concept of taxation and its importance as one of the main sources of financing public expenditure. It also highlighted the most prominent methods and approaches used in tax calculation, explained the different types of taxes and the mechanisms for determining the tax base and tax rate, and presented practical applications of tax calculation. The workshop aimed to enhance participants' financial and tax knowledge and develop their skills in understanding practical tax calculation methods and their applications, thereby bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation while keeping pace with the requirements of the economic environment. This workshop is part of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences' commitment at Al-Mustaqbal University to promoting scientific and academic activities and developing participants' scientific and practical capabilities, contributing to the University's mission of disseminating knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
