The College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled **“Procedures for Handling Death Cases,”** delivered by Prof. Dr. Nima Hassouni Mahdi, Head of the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine at the College. The workshop addressed a range of scientific and professional topics related to the procedures for handling cases of death, including the medical, legal, and administrative protocols that must be followed. It also highlighted the responsibilities of physicians and healthcare professionals, emphasizing the importance of adhering to approved regulations and guidelines when determining and certifying death, documenting cases, and managing different circumstances. The importance of this workshop lies in the fact that handling death cases represents a significant aspect of medical and professional responsibility, given its humanitarian, legal, and ethical dimensions. This requires medical professionals to possess accurate knowledge and a thorough understanding of established procedures to ensure proper professional practice and safeguard the rights of the deceased and their families.
