As part of Al Mustaqbal University’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its academic and scientific presence, Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Fadhil Al-Rubaie, a lecturer at the Department of Anesthesia Techniques, chaired the thesis defense committee for Arab Board candidate in General Surgery, Ali Abdul Ali Al-Taie. The research was entitled: “The Impact of Previous Bariatric Surgery on the Technical Difficulty of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.” The defense was held in the Main Hall of Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital. The scientific committee consisted of Consultant Surgeon Dr. Walaa Nouri Majeed as Chair, Consultant Surgeon Dr. Majid Mousa Al-Khafaji as a Member, and Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Fadhil Al-Rubaie as a Member. The defense included a scientific presentation and an in-depth discussion of the research findings. The committee provided several scientific comments and recommendations, and the research was accepted subject to minor revisions. This participation reflects the academic and scientific role played by Al Mustaqbal University faculty members and their commitment to contributing to research activities, scientific advancement, and the exchange of expertise with healthcare and educational institutions.
