The global and local cybersecurity landscape faces increasingly complex challenges as digital transformation continues to expand and modern technologies evolve. Among the most significant challenges is the rapid advancement of cyberattack techniques, which increasingly rely on sophisticated algorithms and technologies capable of bypassing traditional intrusion detection systems, as well as exploiting Zero-Day Vulnerabilities before they are officially discovered and addressed. At both the academic and professional levels, there is a noticeable skills gap in the specialized expertise required to address the shortage of qualified cybersecurity professionals. This is further compounded by the growing complexity of cloud and hybrid networks and the increasing number of vulnerabilities across endpoint and mobile devices, placing additional operational pressure on Incident Response (IR) teams. Moreover, ransomware attacks and attempts to disrupt digital infrastructure represent persistent threats that require continuous updates to defensive strategies and ongoing development of academic and training programs. These efforts are essential to preparing engineers and researchers capable of addressing current and emerging cybersecurity threats efficiently and professionally.
