As part of its efforts to support digital transformation and promote advanced technological awareness within the academic and wider community, the Biomedical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, organised a prominent awareness and educational campaign entitled “Artificial Intelligence Saves Lives”, as part of the initiative “Towards a Digital Society: Digital Literacy.” About the Campaign and Organising Team The awareness campaign was directly organised and supervised by: * Programmer Zahraa Abdulzaid Abdulabbas * Engineer Noor Al-Huda Razzaq * Engineer Mohammed Abdul Karim Razouqi The initiative aimed to promote digital literacy among students and the wider community, develop skills in using modern technologies, and highlight the direct impact of artificial intelligence on enhancing medical safety standards and healthcare responsiveness. Key Technical and Medical Topics The campaign organisers addressed several important technological and engineering topics, including: * Promoting Digital Awareness and Technological Literacy: Enhancing participants’ digital skills and preparing them to keep pace with rapid technological advancements. * Exploring Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications in Healthcare: Highlighting its essential role in advancing early disease diagnosis, analysing medical images and biomedical data with high accuracy, and supporting rapid clinical decision-making that contributes to saving lives. * Emphasising Safe and Responsible Technology Use: Promoting AI ethics, protecting medical data privacy, and strengthening digital security. The campaign witnessed significant interaction and widespread interest among attendees, who praised the importance of the presented content in connecting programming and technology with life-saving engineering and medical solutions.
