As part of its commitment to promoting digital literacy and strengthening cybersecurity awareness, the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an awareness activity aimed at familiarizing students with the key practices for maintaining digital security and protecting personal data. The activity highlighted the importance of using strong and unique passwords, verifying the authenticity of emails and avoiding suspicious links, adjusting privacy settings, and refraining from sharing sensitive information with untrusted parties. It also emphasized the need to regularly update operating systems and software to address security vulnerabilities and reduce the risk of cyberattacks. This activity reflects the Department’s role in raising awareness of cyber threats and equipping students with the knowledge and guidance needed to use modern technologies safely and responsibly. It also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
