The Department of Biology at Al-Mustaqbal University held practical lectures in the Medicinal Plants course for third-year students on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The lectures focused on identifying medicinally important plants and studying their characteristics and active constituents. The lectures included practical activities aimed at familiarizing students with methods of identifying medicinal plants and distinguishing the plant parts used for therapeutic purposes, while highlighting their importance in medical and pharmaceutical fields. These lectures reflect the Department’s approach to linking scientific concepts with laboratory applications and providing students with practical experience that broadens their knowledge of medicinal plants.
