In line with the efforts of Al-Mustaqbal University to keep pace with technological advancements and promote digital protection concepts, the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies highlights the importance of Ethical Hacking as a technical practice that contributes to enhancing information security and reducing cyber threats. This field involves conducting security tests on systems, networks, and applications within legally authorized permissions and a clearly defined scope, with the aim of identifying vulnerabilities, assessing potential risks, and implementing appropriate solutions before they are exploited maliciously. These tests include gathering information about target systems, analyzing weaknesses, verifying security levels, evaluating the impact of vulnerabilities, and preparing technical reports containing the necessary solutions and recommendations. The department’s focus on this field underscores the importance of developing students’ analytical and practical skills, while strengthening their awareness of professional ethics and responsible engagement with modern technologies. These efforts support the development of a more reliable and secure digital environment and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
