As part of its commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation and communication between academic departments and administrative units, a delegation from the Department of Biochemistry, College of Science, at Al-Mustaqbal University visited the New Student Registration Department to learn about ongoing registration activities and acknowledge the efforts being made to welcome newly admitted students for the current academic year. The delegation included Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdul-Hassan Nasser, Head of the Department of Biochemistry; Dr. Aseel Amer Hadi, Department Rapporteur; and several female academic staff members from the department. The visit reflected the department’s commitment to active participation in university activities and its interest in supporting the collaborative efforts of the university’s academic and administrative units. During the visit, the delegation reviewed the workflow and procedures adopted by the Registration Department in receiving new students and their families, processing admission and registration requirements, and providing guidance regarding the steps necessary to complete enrolment. The visit also highlighted the important role played by the registration staff in facilitating administrative procedures and ensuring that students receive the information and assistance they need at the beginning of their university journey. Welcoming new students represents a significant stage in the academic calendar, as it marks the beginning of their transition into university life and their engagement with a new educational environment. Effective coordination between registration personnel and academic departments is therefore essential to helping students understand the available academic programmes, become familiar with their chosen fields of study, and complete the necessary administrative requirements in an organized and efficient manner. The visit also provided an opportunity to emphasize the importance of communication between teaching staff and administrative personnel in achieving the university’s institutional objectives. Cooperation between these units contributes to improving administrative performance, facilitating the exchange of information, addressing students’ needs, and enhancing the quality of services provided throughout the admission and registration process. Furthermore, the participation of the Department of Biochemistry delegation reflects the department’s broader commitment to supporting university-wide initiatives and strengthening relationships with other academic and administrative formations. Such visits contribute to a culture of teamwork and shared responsibility, ensuring that the university’s efforts to provide a supportive educational environment extend beyond classroom teaching and laboratory activities. Through these collaborative initiatives, the Department of Biochemistry, College of Science, continues to support the university’s academic mission and contribute to creating an organized, welcoming, and student-centred environment. The visit underscores the importance of coordinated institutional efforts in supporting newly admitted students, facilitating their transition to university life, and promoting an educational experience built on academic excellence, effective administration, and continuous improvement.
