As part of its scientific seminar program aimed at promoting environmental and health awareness, the Department of Anesthesia Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Combating Plastic Pollution” on Monday, October 26, 2026. The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Falih. The seminar provided an introduction to plastic pollution, highlighting its various types and sources, while shedding light on its environmental and health impacts and the growing challenges it poses to the environment and human health. The presenter also discussed key approaches and measures to reduce plastic pollution, emphasizing the importance of recycling and adopting sustainable alternatives to plastic products to minimize waste and conserve natural resources. This seminar reflects the Department of Anesthesia Techniques’ commitment to promoting environmental awareness, encouraging sustainable practices, and motivating academic staff and students to adopt responsible behaviors that contribute to environmental protection and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
