The laboratories of the Department of Computer Science continue to host lectures and practical training sessions for the "Natural Language Processing" (NLP) course for third-year students, drawing significant academic engagement and keen interest from the participants. On Monday, October 26, 2026, the sessions focused on the programming aspects of developing code and implementing text-processing algorithms using the Python language—specifically addressing the handling of singular and plural word forms. This initiative aims to enhance students' technical skills and prepare them for application across various fields of information technology. The sessions are conducted under the supervision and direct guidance of the course instructor, Noor Firas Mohammed, with the assistance of teaching assistant Noor Hassan Obeid. The practical classes saw notable interaction and exceptional performance from the students as they executed the assigned programming tasks and exercises. The continuation of these sessions aligns with the department’s comprehensive vision of providing an integrated educational environment that bridges theory and practice. This approach ensures that students graduate with the expertise and skills necessary to keep pace with rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and modern technology.
