The Department of Biology at Al-Mustaqbal University conducted a practical workshop delivered by Assistant Lecturer Mona Raed Turki on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Laboratory 207, as part of the Basic Microbiology course. The workshop was entitled “Laboratory Tools and Preparation of PDA Medium for Fungal Cultivation.” The workshop introduced students to the laboratory tools used in microbiological experiments and explained the steps involved in preparing Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA), a culture medium used for fungal cultivation and growth. It also highlighted the importance of following laboratory instructions and sterilization procedures to ensure the success of practical experiments. The workshop aimed to develop students’ laboratory skills and enhance their ability to handle the tools and materials used in culture media preparation, thereby supporting the practical component of the course.
