The Department of Biology at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a practical workshop entitled “Microscopy Skills in Biology: A Practical Application” on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The workshop was presented by Lecturer Jaafar Hamed Jaafar at Laboratory BL207, aiming to develop students’ laboratory skills and introduce them to the fundamentals of microscopy and its applications in biological sample examination. The workshop covered the basic principles of microscope use, identification of its components and functions, and adjustment techniques to obtain a clear view of specimens. It also explained the procedures for handling microscope slides and accurately observing biological structures, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications and improve their laboratory examination skills. This workshop is part of the Department of Biology’s scientific activities aimed at developing students’ practical abilities and strengthening their experience in using laboratory techniques relevant to their field of study.
