The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an in-person training workshop entitled “The Electronic Survey Platform at Al-Mustaqbal University,” under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of the University, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs. The workshop was attended by personnel responsible for measurement and evaluation, quality assurance, and website administration across the university’s colleges, divisions, and units. It aimed to develop their skills in designing electronic surveys, analyzing their results, and utilizing the findings to improve institutional performance. The workshop was attended by Dr. Tuqa Hazem Abdullah, Quality Assurance Officer, and Ms. Tabarak Ahmed Turki, Website Officer at the Industrial College Technologies Department. Their participation aimed to familiarize them with the mechanisms of using the electronic platform and enhance their skills in preparing surveys and analyzing their results, thereby supporting quality assurance requirements and continuous evaluation within the department. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit; Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Maytham from the Technology Incubator Department; and Assistant Lecturer Noor Thamer Mahmoud. The workshop covered the scientific principles of survey design, the mechanisms of using the electronic platform, methods of data collection and analysis, the extraction of indicators, and the preparation of reports to support developmental decision-making. Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam opened the scientific component of the workshop by explaining the importance of surveys as a fundamental tool for collecting data and measuring beneficiaries’ opinions, attitudes, and satisfaction levels. He also highlighted their role in identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement. Furthermore, he discussed methodologies for analyzing results and extracting statistical indicators, as well as preparing scientific reports that present and interpret data, formulate conclusions and recommendations, and identify the necessary measures for performance improvement. These processes contribute to strengthening the effectiveness of the measurement and evaluation system and improving the quality of educational outcomes. For his part, Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Maytham delivered a practical presentation on the university’s electronic survey platform. He demonstrated the steps involved in creating surveys, organizing their questions and sections according to specific objectives, distributing them to target groups, collecting responses, and generating data and reports. He also explained how the platform facilitates work procedures, reduces the time and effort required, and organizes data in a manner that supports analysis, report preparation, and evidence-based decision-making. The workshop also highlighted the importance of integrating scientific and statistical methodologies with the technical capabilities of the platform. This integration enables the effective use of data to measure performance indicators, monitor beneficiary satisfaction, identify actual needs, develop improvement plans, and follow up on their implementation efficiently and effectively. The workshop aimed to enhance the capabilities of personnel responsible for measurement and evaluation, quality assurance, and website administration across the university’s colleges, divisions, and units. It also sought to standardize procedures for preparing surveys, conducting them, and analyzing their results, thereby promoting a culture of quality assurance and continuous evaluation and improving the efficiency of academic and administrative work. This workshop is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to develop the capabilities of its academic and administrative staff, keep pace with digital transformation in higher education, and strengthen evidence-based institutional practices. These efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
