The Department of Industrial Kidney Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness activity on Saturday, October 24, 2026, involving the preparation and distribution of an educational brochure on the effects of chemotherapy on kidney health and ways to minimize its potential complications. The activity was conducted with the participation of Dr. Tuqa Hazim Abdullah, Ms. Tabarak Ahmed Turki, and third-year students. The brochure included scientific information on the importance of preserving kidney function during chemotherapy, which is considered one of the primary treatments for many types of cancer. It also highlighted certain chemotherapy drugs that may affect kidney function, the importance of monitoring laboratory indicators of kidney function, and the need to follow medical guidelines regarding fluid intake and medication use, thereby helping to reduce the risk of kidney damage. This activity is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to raise health awareness and promote medical knowledge within the community by providing simplified scientific information that helps people understand potential health risks and preventive measures.
