Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, the University’s Measurement and Evaluation Unit organized an in-person training workshop entitled “The Electronic Survey Platform at Al-Mustaqbal University.” The workshop was attended by personnel responsible for measurement and evaluation, quality assurance, and website administration across the University’s colleges, divisions, and units. The workshop was organized as part of the University’s commitment to developing institutional work mechanisms, promoting the use of digital technologies for data collection and analysis, and advancing measurement and evaluation processes. These efforts support evidence-based decision-making and contribute to the continuous improvement of academic and administrative performance. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit; Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Mitham from the Technology Incubator Department; and Assistant Lecturer Noor Thamer Mahmoud. The sessions addressed the importance of surveys as essential tools for collecting data, identifying stakeholders’ opinions and attitudes, assessing satisfaction levels, evaluating performance, and identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement. Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam opened the scientific component of the workshop by introducing the fundamental concepts of surveys and highlighting their importance in supporting measurement and evaluation in education. He also discussed methods for analyzing survey data and deriving statistical indicators, as well as procedures for preparing comprehensive survey reports. These procedures included presenting, discussing, and interpreting findings; formulating conclusions and recommendations; and identifying practical improvement measures based on available evidence and data. He emphasized the importance of these stages in evaluating the quality of educational outcomes and strengthening the effectiveness of development-oriented decisions. Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Mitham subsequently delivered a practical demonstration of Al-Mustaqbal University’s electronic survey platform. His presentation covered the platform’s functions and operational procedures, including designing electronic surveys, developing questions, and organizing survey sections in accordance with assessment objectives and target audiences. He also explained how to distribute surveys, collect responses, and generate reports and datasets. The demonstration highlighted the platform’s role in streamlining procedures, reducing the time and effort required, improving data organization, and facilitating data analysis and utilization. The workshop also highlighted the importance of integrating the scientific and statistical methodologies of survey design and analysis with the technological capabilities of the electronic platform. This integration enables the effective use of collected data to formulate recommendations and implement corrective and developmental measures. It also strengthens the ability of colleges and administrative units to monitor performance indicators, measure stakeholder satisfaction, identify actual needs, and implement improvement plans more efficiently and effectively. The workshop targeted measurement and evaluation officers, quality assurance personnel, and authorized website administrators across the University’s colleges, divisions, and units. Its objectives were to enhance their proficiency in using the platform, standardize procedures for preparing and administering surveys, and improve the analysis and interpretation of survey results, thereby strengthening institutional practices and promoting a culture of quality assurance and continuous evaluation. This workshop forms part of a series of training activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance the capabilities of its academic and administrative staff, keep pace with digital transformation in higher education, and improve the efficiency of electronic systems that support quality assurance and institutional accreditation. These efforts align with the University’s vision of achieving excellence, innovation, and sustainability. Al-Mustaqbal University – The First University in Iraq
