Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized the National Forum on Early Detection of Breast Cancer on Monday, October 19, 2026. The forum aimed to raise health awareness about the importance of regular screening and introduce the latest diagnostic technologies and their role in improving treatment and recovery outcomes. The forum commenced with a speech by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qayyim, who emphasized the importance of intensifying awareness campaigns, promoting a culture of early detection, and highlighting the role of academic institutions in supporting health initiatives and raising community awareness of women's health. The event was attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi; the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi; a number of specialist physicians and representatives of relevant health institutions, as well as faculty members and students. The University President also inaugurated a scientific exhibition showcasing students' projects and scientific achievements. The exhibition featured modern technologies used in breast cancer diagnosis, applications of artificial intelligence in medicine, and educational materials highlighting the importance of regular screening. The forum also included awareness lectures delivered by Dr. Walaa Nouri and Dr. Zainab Al-Jubawi, addressing the importance of early detection and the need for regular examinations. Free screening services were also provided in support of women's health and early detection efforts.
