Interacting with artificial intelligence (AI) systems has become an increasingly common part of daily life. These systems are no longer limited to performing technical tasks; instead, applications have emerged that simulate human conversation, offering assistance and virtual companionship. Such technologies can provide a space for learning, expressing ideas, and alleviating feelings of loneliness—particularly for individuals who face challenges with social interaction. However, excessive reliance on AI companions may raise questions regarding the nature of human relationships and the boundaries of emotional attachment to technology. While an AI system can simulate empathy and respond to emotions, it lacks a genuine human experience. Furthermore, concerns arise regarding the privacy of conversations and personal data, as well as the potential for these systems to influence users' decisions and behaviors. Consequently, it is increasingly important to develop AI in accordance with principles of transparency, privacy protection, and ethical responsibility, while simultaneously fostering a better understanding of the nature and limitations of these technologies. A balanced digital future is not one where human relationships are replaced by machines, but rather one where technology is leveraged to support humanity and enhance the quality of life—all while preserving the value of authentic human connection and social belonging.
