As part of its efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and expand scientific partnerships among Iraqi higher education institutions, Al-Mustaqbal University signed a scientific and academic cooperation agreement with the Northern Technical University on Tuesday, 20 October 2026. The agreement aims to strengthen institutional relations, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and develop areas of joint cooperation in support of higher education quality and scientific research. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Northern Technical University by its President, Professor Dr. Jassim Fathi Al-Maadhidi. Representing Al-Mustaqbal University, the agreement was signed by Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, on behalf of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The signing took place during a delegation visit from Al-Mustaqbal University to the Northern Technical University. The delegation also included Professor Dr. Tariq Jawad Kadhim, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department. During the meeting, both parties discussed mechanisms for activating cooperation across several areas, including joint scientific research, the organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops, training and capacity building, the exchange of expertise in international university rankings, and the coordination of joint student activities. These initiatives are intended to enhance the university environment and support the continuous development of scientific and academic performance at both institutions. The agreement aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of expanding its academic relations, strengthening integration among Iraqi universities, and creating new opportunities for cooperation in education, research, and innovation. It also seeks to facilitate knowledge and expertise exchange, improve educational outcomes, and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
