Asst. Prof. Dr. Munthir Sameen Shukr, Head of the Department of Optics Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University and Head of the Advisory Experts Committee for the specialization, participated in the meeting held by the Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Saterday, September 17, 2026. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the work of the advisory experts committees for all specializations, including the committee for Optics Technologies in Iraqi universities. The meeting addressed the most prominent challenges and opportunities related to developing health and medical specializations, the mechanisms for aligning their educational outcomes with the changing requirements of the labor market in the health sector, in addition to reviewing plans and visions aimed at elevating the level of graduates and qualifying them to engage effectively in health institutions. This participation confirms Al-Mustaqbal University's scientific and academic role aimed at developing health and medical specializations and aligning their educational outcomes with labor market requirements, which enhances the quality of higher education in Iraq and contributes to preparing scientifically and practically qualified health cadres.
