In an effort to enhance cybersecurity awareness, the Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness initiative entitled “Fortify Your Digital World.” The initiative aims to promote safe technology use and raise awareness of major digital threats, including phishing, malware, hacking, social engineering, and data breaches. It also presented a practical guide featuring seven essential steps to protect accounts and devices, including using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, avoiding suspicious links, keeping software updated, protecting personal data, using secure networks, and adopting safe digital behaviors by verifying information sources before sharing content. The initiative contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting digital knowledge, encouraging secure innovation, and protecting privacy and data. Al-Mustaqbal University continues its efforts to promote technological awareness and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, strengthening its standing as Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among universities.
