As part of its efforts to enhance cybersecurity awareness and promote safe technology use, the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University launched an awareness campaign entitled “Are You Digitally Safe?”, aiming to promote safe digital practices and highlight the importance of protecting personal data and privacy in cyberspace. The campaign presented practical guidelines on creating strong and unique passwords, using Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), regularly updating systems and software, avoiding suspicious links and attachments from unknown sources, and staying away from unsecured public networks. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), by promoting digital literacy and developing the skills needed to address cybersecurity challenges safely and effectively. Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, continues to support awareness initiatives aimed at building a safer and more informed digital society while keeping pace with rapid developments in cybersecurity.
