The Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an awareness activity entitled “Be the Reason for a Smile… Giving Makes a Difference” on Saturday, 17 October 2026. The activity involved distributing awareness brochures to students across the university campus under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Wurood Raouf Abdulhussein and Assistant Lecturer Ali Hussein Ali. The activity aimed to promote a culture of giving and volunteerism among students and highlight their role in enhancing mental well-being and spreading happiness and positivity within the university community. It also highlighted various forms of giving, including donating books, supporting fellow students, participating in volunteer initiatives, and maintaining the cleanliness of the university campus. The activity encouraged students to take the initiative in performing positive actions, no matter how small, emphasizing their impact on strengthening the sense of belonging and social responsibility, fostering cooperation and friendship among students, and promoting the values of solidarity and helping others. This initiative is part of the Civil Engineering Department’s ongoing efforts at Al-Mustaqbal University to raise social awareness, instill humanitarian values among students, and contribute to building a positive university environment characterized by cooperation, compassion, and generosity. It reaffirms the belief that every individual can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, even through the simplest acts of kindness.
