As part of its efforts to promote health awareness and establish a culture of medical prevention on campus, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a specialized awareness campaign highlighting the importance of early breast cancer detection and self-examination techniques. Campaign Organizers The health awareness initiative was directly implemented by: * Engineer Noor Al-Huda Razzaq * Programmer Zahraa Abdulzaid Abdulabbas The campaign aimed to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis in improving treatment outcomes and increasing survival rates, while promoting health awareness among female university staff and students regarding proper preventive practices and regular examinations. Campaign Activities and Awareness Initiatives The campaign included educational discussions and the distribution of awareness leaflets, focusing on several key areas: * Raising awareness of the importance of early detection in improving treatment opportunities, increasing survival rates, and reducing disease-related complications. * Explaining the steps and techniques of regular breast self-examination in a clear, scientifically informed, and accessible manner. * Emphasizing the importance of consulting healthcare professionals promptly when noticing any unusual symptoms or changes, alongside providing guidance on advanced medical screening methods, including mammography and ultrasound. The campaign witnessed considerable engagement from academic and administrative staff and students, who praised the importance of such ongoing health initiatives in protecting the community and promoting a culture of prevention rather than treatment.
