The Industrial College Technologies Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific seminar on Sunday, October 5, 2025, delivered by Professor Dr. Younis Abdul Ridha Al-Khafaji. The seminar addressed the differences between influenza and COVID-19, aiming to raise students’ awareness of the effects of viruses on human health and familiarize them with the health characteristics of each disease, thereby enhancing their scientific and health awareness. The seminar included a scientific lecture highlighting the main differences between the two diseases in terms of symptoms, modes of transmission, and health effects. It also emphasized the importance of accurate diagnosis, adherence to health guidelines, and preventive measures to limit the spread of viral infections. Furthermore, the lecture highlighted the importance of acquiring accurate scientific knowledge to help students understand the nature of viral diseases and respond to them with awareness and responsibility. This seminar is part of the scientific and awareness-raising activities organized by the department to promote students’ health awareness, develop their scientific knowledge, and reinforce disease prevention concepts. These efforts contribute to supporting the quality of education and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
