As part of its vision to enhance scientific cooperation and foster engagement with international academic institutions, the University of Al-Mustaqbal organized the activities of Erasmus Days 2026 under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi. The event was attended by the University President’s Assistants, College Deans, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, and the directors of departments and divisions at the University Presidency. The activities included an introductory workshop delivered by Ms. Eilaf Salah Mahdi, Head of the Erasmus Unit at the University Presidency. The workshop highlighted Erasmus programmes and their role in developing higher education, strengthening academic and professional capacities, enhancing scientific and digital skills, and providing opportunities for academic exchange and mobility for students, faculty members, and researchers. The workshop also addressed the main areas of cooperation offered through these programmes and the mechanisms for participating in training and professional development opportunities, as well as exchanging expertise and academic practices with international universities and educational institutions. These initiatives contribute to improving institutional performance and keeping pace with modern developments in education and scientific research. These activities form part of the international Erasmus Days 2026 initiative, held under the theme “Learning and Growing: Skills for Tomorrow.” The theme highlights the importance of developing future-oriented skills and strengthening the ability to adapt to rapid developments in knowledge and technology, supporting sustainable development and enhancing the competencies of academic and administrative staff. The University of Al-Mustaqbal’s participation in this initiative reflects its commitment to expanding its international academic network, strengthening scientific cooperation and exchange, and providing an educational environment aligned with modern international standards and trends. These efforts contribute to improving the quality of education and scientific research and consolidating the university’s position as the leading private university in Iraq.
