As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation and expand opportunities for academic exchange, Al Mustaqbal University organized the activities of Erasmus Days 2026 under the patronage of the University President, Professor Hassan Shakir Majdi. The event was attended by the Assistant Presidents, Deans, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, and directors of departments and divisions at the University Presidency. The programme featured an introductory workshop delivered by Ms. Elaf Salah Mahdi, Head of the Erasmus Unit at the University Presidency. The workshop highlighted the European Union’s Erasmus+ programmes and their role in supporting higher education, strengthening cooperation among academic institutions, and developing the scientific and professional capabilities of students, faculty members, and researchers. The workshop also explored opportunities for academic mobility, exchange, and training, as well as prospects for establishing scientific partnerships with European universities. Furthermore, it highlighted the contribution of these programmes to knowledge exchange, the sharing of educational experiences, and the adoption of modern academic practices that support the development of the university environment. This year’s activities were held under the theme “Learning and Growing: Skills for Tomorrow,” emphasizing the importance of acquiring essential and digital skills and keeping pace with future developments. These priorities contribute to the continuous professional development of academic staff and help prepare students for the evolving demands of the labour market. This initiative reaffirms Al Mustaqbal University’s commitment to promoting internationalization, expanding cooperation with international educational institutions, and benefiting from academic exchange and development programmes.
