Regarding international cooperation, the Council stressed the importance of engaging with Erasmus Days and expanding academic partnerships with international universities and institutions through the European Union’s Erasmus+ 2028–2034 programme. The University President also reviewed his participation in the UNIMED General Assembly 2026, hosted by the University of Barcelona in Spain in conjunction with the 35th anniversary of the Union’s establishment. The meetings addressed key priorities for university cooperation, including higher education governance, digital education, intercultural dialogue, aligning graduate competencies with labour market needs, education during crises, and sustainable development.
With regard to student activities, the Council emphasized the need to support cultural and scientific events, encourage student participation in competitions, and expedite the procedures for establishing student councils, thereby strengthening students’ role in university life.
The Council also discussed the implementation of the Ministry’s directive concerning the recognition of the 2025–2026 academic year as a non-failure year for students covered by the cancellation-of-enrolment provisions, in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions.
As part of its efforts to attract students and strengthen community engagement, the Council directed the intensification of media and marketing campaigns to introduce newly established academic departments and highlight the University’s educational services, achievements, and international rankings. The directives also emphasized providing guidance to prospective students and their parents and facilitating student registration procedures.
