Al-Mustaqbal University celebrated its achievements in international rankings and organized a specialized scientific event to review and analyze scientific and academic performance indicators, discuss ways to develop international relations, and enhance competitiveness and institutional sustainability, supporting its ongoing pursuit of academic excellence and leadership. The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, the Assistant Presidents, college deans, department and division directors, and a number of faculty members and university staff. The University President affirmed that the achievements attained were the result of strategic planning and collaborative institutional efforts. He commended the contributions of the university’s scientific, academic, and administrative staff and emphasized the importance of advancing scientific research and high-quality scholarly publishing, expanding international partnerships, and utilizing performance indicators to achieve continuous improvement and enhance the quality of academic and research outcomes. The event featured specialized presentations delivered by Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Assistant President for Student Affairs and Academic Affairs; Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Prof. Dr. Tariq Jawad Kadhim, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department; and Ali Abbas Zuwain, Director of the Global Rankings Unit. The presentations addressed performance indicators, achieved results, areas of strength, opportunities for development, and mechanisms for strengthening the university’s presence in international rankings. The event highlighted the university’s most notable achievements, including securing first place among Iraqi private universities in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026 for sustainability, and making its first appearance in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, placing in the 1201–1400 global band, in addition to its results in research and subject-specific rankings. The event concluded by emphasizing the importance of translating analytical findings into clear, measurable, and monitorable action plans, strengthening integration among the university’s academic and administrative units, and expanding international academic and research cooperation.
