Students of the Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department at the College of Engineering Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, conducted an educational awareness activity on phishing attacks using Quick Response (QR) codes, known as Quishing. The activity aimed to introduce this type of digital threat and explain how malicious QR codes can redirect users to fraudulent and harmful websites. It highlighted the main risks and preventive measures, including verifying the source of QR codes and checking URLs before opening them, avoiding entering personal information on untrusted websites, and using tools to scan and verify links. These efforts contribute to enhancing cybersecurity awareness and promoting safe technology use, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private Iraqi universities, continues to support student initiatives that promote digital literacy and protect society from cyber threats.
