Under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, Dean of the College of Science, and in line with the directives supporting student activities, the Department of Medical Biotechnology at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Causes of Drug Spread Among Youth” on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in the University Campus Areas, at 9:00 a.m. The campaign aimed to enhance awareness among students and the university community about the risks of drug abuse, highlighting the main causes behind its spread among young people, its health, psychological, and social impacts, as well as the importance of prevention and health education to reduce this phenomenon. The campaign was organized by Prof. Dr. Hasnain Khalil Ibrahim, Head of the Department of Medical Biotechnology, along with Assistant Lecturer Saja Jawad Obaid and Assistant Lecturer Manar Kazem Hasan. The activity included awareness guidance and preventive recommendations to promote healthy behaviors among students. This activity was held in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by supporting initiatives that contribute to protecting youth health and increasing awareness of community health risks.
