As part of its commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals and promoting health awareness among students and the community, the Department of Medical Biotechnology at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness campaign entitled “Genetic Disease Screening” on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The campaign was supervised by the department lecturers Ms. Tuqa Adel Abboud and Ms. Madloulah Moayad Faiq, and included educational activities highlighting the importance of early detection of genetic diseases, its role in diagnosis and prevention, as well as introducing the causes of hereditary disorders and the significance of genetic testing in improving public health. This campaign reflects the Department of Medical Biotechnology’s efforts to promote scientific and health awareness and strengthen the university’s role in serving society through educational initiatives that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
