Rusul Neima Kamal, a faculty member in the Department of English Language and Literature, has published a specialized scientific article titled:"Communicative Language Teaching: Principles and Classroom Applications in English Language Education". The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) framework, recognized as one of the most influential methodologies in contemporary English Language Teaching (ELT). The study highlights the paradigm shift from traditional rote memorization of grammatical structures to cultivating learners' communicative competence in authentic, real-world contexts. In her research, the author outlines the theoretical foundations and core principles of CLT, emphasizing meaning-centered instruction, learner-centered interaction, and the evolving role of the instructor as a learning facilitator. Furthermore, the paper details practical classroom applications, such as role-play simulations, information-gap tasks, debates, and collaborative problem-solving. The article concludes by providing actionable strategies for educators to mitigate classroom challenges—such as large class sizes and anxiety in speaking—by balancing fluency with accuracy and aligning assessment tools with practical communicative performance
