Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the 2026 General Assembly meetings of the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED), held at the University of Barcelona in Spain, with the participation of prominent academic figures, university leaders, and representatives of international educational institutions. The meetings addressed prospects for joint academic and research cooperation, the exchange of expertise, the promotion of academic mobility for students and researchers, and ways to expand international partnerships between universities and educational institutions. This participation contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting cooperation and knowledge exchange, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by expanding international academic partnerships. This participation is part of the ongoing efforts of Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, to strengthen its international presence, expand its academic and research relations, and enhance its standing within the global academic community.
