University of the Future Organizes Its Second Career Development and Employment Forum.

The University of the Future organized its Second Career Development and Employment Forum under the theme “Empowering Graduates and Addressing Unemployment Towards a Sustainable Professional Future,” under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi. The forum was organized by the Career Development, Employment and Follow-up Division, with the participation of academics, representatives of government institutions and the private sector, as well as university students and graduates. The forum addressed a number of topics related to preparing students and graduates and supporting their opportunities in the labor market. Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi delivered the President’s speech, emphasizing the importance of developing graduates’ skills and enhancing their professional and personal capabilities, in addition to expanding cooperation with government institutions and the private sector to provide training and employment opportunities. The forum featured a number of sessions addressing administrative skills development and entrepreneurship as means of tackling unemployment. These sessions were presented by the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Dulaimi. Another session focused on cooperation between the University and the Ministry of Industry and Minerals and aligning educational outcomes with the requirements of the industrial labor market, presented by Engineer Huda Qasim, representing the Ministry. Ms. Jinan Adel Makki, Managing Director of Akad Gateway for Training and Employment, discussed the importance of graduates’ readiness to transition from academic study to professional life. Meanwhile, Mr. Mustafa Abbas Saber, a leading project developer in the Iraqi market, highlighted the importance of strengthening graduates’ confidence in their abilities and encouraging innovation and self-employment. The forum also featured presentations by a number of University of the Future graduates, who shared their professional experiences and success stories, highlighting their career paths after graduation and the experiences that contributed to their professional development. At the conclusion of the forum, Professor Dr. Iman Abdul Aziz, Director of the Career Development, Employment and Follow-up Division, presented the key recommendations, which focused on continuing career development and employment programs, expanding partnerships with government institutions and the private sector, and increasing training and employment opportunities for students and graduates.
