Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, announced the University’s first-ever inclusion in the official edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 (THE WUR 2027), achieving an exceptional academic and scientific milestone by being placed within the 1201–1400 global band. This achievement further consolidates the University’s leading position as the top private university in Iraq and reinforces its standing among institutions of academic leadership and excellence. This distinguished global presence placed Al-Mustaqbal University first among all Iraqi private universities, second among Iraqi universities outside the Kurdistan Region, and fourth among all universities in Iraq. The University outperformed numerous established higher education institutions in a rigorous global ranking that featured intense competition among 2,297 universities from 118 countries and territories. The ranking results also demonstrated Al-Mustaqbal University’s strong performance across key indicators, securing second place in Iraq in International Outlook, fifth place in Research Environment, and sixth place in Research Quality. These results were based on rigorous assessments of teaching data, research publication quality, and engagement with industry sectors.
