Al-Mustaqbal University, the No. 1 university in Iraq, continues to strengthen its academic presence at both the regional and international levels by expanding its network of partnerships with leading universities and educational and research institutions.
In this context, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for scientific and academic cooperation was signed in Amman, Jordan, between Al-Mustaqbal University and Applied Science Private University (ASU). The agreement aims to establish new avenues for cooperation in education, scientific research, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of academic expertise.
The initiative reflects the vision of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, which focuses on establishing sustainable academic partnerships, promoting scientific exchange, providing high-quality opportunities for students and researchers, and keeping pace with global developments in higher education.
Representing Al-Mustaqbal University at the signing ceremony was Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, while Professor Dr. Samiha Jarrah, President of Applied Science Private University, represented the Jordanian institution.
The signing ceremony was attended by a number of academic and administrative leaders from both universities, including Dr. Haitham Abdullah Abu Khudair, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Professor Dr. Wameed Hadi Talib, Director of the International Relations Office, along with several academic and administrative officials.
The Memorandum of Understanding covers several areas of mutual cooperation, including the exchange of academic and scientific expertise, strengthening research collaboration, facilitating student and researcher exchange, organizing conferences, seminars, and scientific events, as well as supporting joint academic and research projects and initiatives.
Prior to the signing ceremony, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the academic and research journey of Al-Mustaqbal University, its major achievements, its progress in international accreditations and rankings, and its future vision for expanding its network of partnerships with universities and academic institutions worldwide.
The agreement reflects Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment to moving beyond traditional forms of academic cooperation toward the development of long-term strategic partnerships that contribute to advancing the educational and research environment and creating valuable opportunities for students and researchers to engage with academic institutions both within Iraq and internationally.
