Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, Dean of the College of Science, the Medical Biotechnology Department at the College of Science organized a scientific and awareness campaign entitled “Women’s Education… Building a Stronger Society” on Tuesday, September 27, 2026. The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of women’s education and its role in building an advanced society based on knowledge and empowerment.
The campaign included a number of awareness activities addressing the importance of education in developing women’s scientific and intellectual abilities and empowering them to make effective contributions in various academic and community fields. It also emphasized their essential role in building an educated generation capable of achieving sustainable development.
The campaign highlighted the importance of supporting women throughout their educational journey, encouraging female students to develop their scientific and professional skills, and enhancing creativity, innovation, and participation in academic and research activities, which contributes to strengthening women’s presence and role within the educational institution and society.
The campaign was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Sara Raheem Hamza, Head of the Women’s Affairs Committee in the Medical Biotechnology Department, with the participation of the department’s staff and students, confirming the department’s commitment to supporting awareness initiatives that contribute to empowering women and enhancing their scientific and societal role.
This campaign is part of the efforts of the College of Science and the Medical Biotechnology Department to promote a culture of education and empowerment and support scientific and community activities that enhance the role of women as an essential partner in building a more advanced and prosperous future.
This activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 5: Gender Equality, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
