Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, chaired an expanded meeting to review mechanisms for activating the agreements and memoranda of understanding concluded with local and international universities and academic institutions, and to explore ways to transform them into effective scientific and academic cooperation pathways. This aims to enhance their institutional impact, support the University’s efforts to expand its partnerships, and strengthen its academic presence at both the local and international levels. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies; and Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, Dean of the College of Engineering, along with a number of directors of departments and centers at the University Presidency and relevant colleges. The meeting discussed mechanisms for moving the agreements from a formal framework toward implementable programs and collaborative projects, while identifying areas for maximizing the benefits of existing partnerships, particularly in scientific research, academic expertise exchange, training and professional development, academic mobility, and the development of joint educational and research programs and projects. Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi emphasized the importance of making optimal use of the concluded agreements by activating their provisions through clear and practical pathways, following up on their outcomes, and assessing their scientific and academic impact. This would contribute to developing the educational and research environment, creating broader opportunities for international cooperation, and enhancing knowledge and expertise exchange between the University and its partner academic institutions. The meeting comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to develop a sustainable academic partnership framework based on effective cooperation and expertise exchange, while maximizing the benefits of its local and international relationships.
