As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen academic relations and promote scientific cooperation locally and internationally, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, chaired an expanded meeting to discuss mechanisms for activating the agreements and memoranda of understanding concluded between the University and a number of universities and academic and research institutions inside and outside Iraq. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies; Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, Dean of the College of Engineering; along with a number of directors of departments and centers at the University Presidency and relevant colleges. The meeting addressed ways to transform academic agreements from formal frameworks into practical and sustainable programs and initiatives by identifying priority areas of cooperation, particularly in scientific research, knowledge and expertise exchange, academic training and development, academic mobility, and the implementation of joint educational and research programs and projects. The University President emphasized the importance of effectively utilizing academic partnerships and transforming them into measurable programs and outcomes that contribute to institutional and academic development, enhance the educational and research environment, and create new opportunities for students and academic staff to engage with local and international academic experiences and expertise. He also stressed the importance of establishing sustainable institutional relationships with universities, research centers, and academic institutions in line with the requirements of modern higher education and global trends in scientific and research cooperation.
