Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new milestone in the field of university sustainability, ranking first among private universities in Iraq and third among Iraqi public and private universities, according to the results of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026. This achievement reflects the University’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability principles and implement them across various academic, administrative, and environmental fields, while advancing the transition toward a smart and sustainable university environment, in line with its slogan, “Towards a Sustainable University.” On this occasion, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, congratulated the University’s faculty members, staff, and students on this distinguished achievement, appreciating their efforts and contributions and emphasizing that this progress is the result of collaborative institutional work and a strong team spirit. He also emphasized that this achievement serves as a motivation to continue developing sustainability initiatives, enhancing the University’s standing, and strengthening its role as an Iraqi academic model that integrates education, innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.
