Ali Adnan Abdulkadhim, a faculty member of the Department of Computer Engineering Techniques, participated in the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering (ICEECE 2026), held in Malaysia on 19–20 August 2026 and organized by Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). His participation included the presentation of the research paper entitled: “A Review on Data-Driven LoS/NLoS Classification Techniques for 5G Wireless Systems” The paper presented a review and analysis of data-driven approaches for the detection and classification of Line-of-Sight (LoS) and Non-Line-of-Sight (NLoS) conditions in 5G wireless communication systems, with particular emphasis on the application of machine learning, deep learning, and hybrid approaches. This participation forms part of the department’s scientific and research activities aimed at strengthening its academic presence in international conferences and promoting scientific communication and knowledge exchange with researchers and specialists in modern communications, artificial intelligence, and computer engineering.
