His Excellency Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, received a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University, headed by the University President, Professor Dr Hassan Shakir Majdi, accompanied by a number of university staff members and a group of student trainees. During the meeting, the delegation presented the University's pioneering initiative to send students from various academic disciplines to the United Kingdom to undertake summer training at several universities and academic institutions in London. This initiative, the first of its kind at Al-Mustaqbal University, aims to develop students’ practical skills and enrich their academic and professional experience through international exposure. The meeting also explored opportunities to strengthen academic cooperation between Iraqi and British universities, expand the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and create broader opportunities for students and academic staff to benefit from the advanced scientific and educational environment available in the United Kingdom. His Excellency reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting academic and educational initiatives that contribute to enhancing the capabilities of Iraqi students and strengthening the international engagement of Iraqi higher education institutions, thereby supporting the continued development of higher education and scientific research in Iraq.
