Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved first place among private universities in Iraq and ranked third among Iraqi public and private universities, according to the results of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026. This achievement reflects the University’s continued progress in the field of campus sustainability. This accomplishment is the result of the University’s ongoing efforts to implement sustainability principles across its academic, administrative, and environmental activities, in addition to developing a smart and sustainable campus environment in line with its vision and motto, “Towards a Sustainable University.” On this occasion, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majid, congratulated the University’s faculty members, staff, and students on this achievement, commending their efforts and contributions to the University’s continued progress and emphasizing that this accomplishment is the outcome of collective institutional work and coordinated efforts. The University President also affirmed that this achievement serves as an incentive to further develop sustainability initiatives and strengthen environmental and developmental practices within the University, contributing to enhancing its academic and community presence.
