Dr. Zain Al-Abideen Abboud Kadhim, Head of the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences, participated in the Third International Scientific Conference, held under the theme: “Knowledge Integration between Applied and Human Sciences for Sustainable Development and Addressing the Challenges of Digital Transformation.” The conference was held in the Republic of Azerbaijan from September 21–23, 2026. Dr. Zain Al-Abideen participated with a scientific research paper entitled: “The Impact of Using Electronic Payment Methods on Operating Costs and the Quality of Banking Services in the Iraqi Banking Sector: An Exploratory Study at Al-Rasheed Bank/Najaf Branch.” The study examined the impact of the transition toward electronic payment methods on the development of banking operations and the improvement of the quality of services provided to customers. In addition to his research contribution, Dr. Zain Al-Abideen also participated remotely in the conference by moderating one of its scientific sessions. At the conclusion of the conference, Dr. Zain Al-Abideen was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his scientific participation and contribution to the conference activities. This participation reflects the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences’ commitment to strengthening the scientific and research presence of its faculty members and expanding opportunities for academic cooperation and communication with Arab and international universities and scientific institutions.
